The overall impact of acne
The overall impact of acne to individuals may seem mild, but if you look a bit closer, you will find a lot of folks who are genuinely unhappy with themselves, especially for suffering from the condition. You can believe me because I actually do know. A friend of mine married a man who could not bear the sight of himself in the mirror until she showed him that she could love him just like that. Lithium, barbiturates, and androgens could cause you to breakout in various acnes if you happen to be sensitive to them. All of these performance enhancing drugs and medications have an effect on your hormones that is not particularly flattering. And since acne is a sucker for raging hormones, you could catch the condition, and you might not be able to shake it too easily. There are so many hormones in your body systems that are linked to the occurrence of acnes that you might have trouble learning them all. Whats worse is that a lot of these names are ones that are difficult to pronounce. The male ones include testosterone and DHT, i.e. dihydrotestosterone; a third is dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate, also known as DHEAS, and a fourth, the insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I). Read up on them, and learn what you can about the disease. Can acne be cured? It is a difficult question to answer because whereas a lot of people have found cure in the past, there are almost as many failures as there are recorded victories in that arena. Even as advancements continue to make miracles possible, there yet isn't any lasting miracle for the treatment of acne. Perhaps with a little more work. I certainly believe that acne can be cured, but I don't think we have that cure yet.
